The purpose of this workshop is to bring together the new generations of magneticians and expose them to the most current topics of research in magnetism and magnetic materials. It will be structured as a school, mainly for PhD students, but also for young postdoctoral researchers who are changing their research field into magnetism, with invited lectures from internationally recognized speakers, poster sessions by the rest of participants, and round tables about career expectations vs. career perspectives, opportunities of research in industry, open science and open data, publishing ethics, etc. Being aimed at training young generations, we will also organize hands on practical sessions that include micromagnetic simulations, magnetic circuit design by finite element methods, FORC diagrams, and data acquisition from portable magnetic sensors, to mention some of them. The Spintronics School organized by SPINRED2 is incorporated into this event.
